Final Zine for my Blacksmith (and prints)

My Final Zine

(Inverted Version)
Back of Zine (When opened)

I made this the back of the zine because I liked how the plate design was positioned. I also included my blacksmith's name in calligraphy typography, as well as including what he uses within his work (he melts metal so I decided to have the plate dripping.) I also included his profession and had my name on the design so I can sell copies of my zine.

Front of Zine (When opened)

My tree was the front, I felt it would look better as the front when opened because of how much the design stretched out, it's also eye catching which made it a lot more effective as the front rather than the back. This design worked effectively because not only did my audience and my blacksmith's audience but my blacksmith was really pleased with this design.

Front of Zine (When folded)

Back of Zine (When folded)

My final zine worked effectively because I felt that I worked professionally throughout the project, as well as time managing to the best of my potential, my blacksmith was also happy with my design because he wanted limited colours, with his name on the zine, which I achieved to a high standard. I also inverted the zine because I felt, and so did my blacksmith, that it worked better with white on black, because of how much the design stands out. I also felt that an accordion worked a lot better because, the tell a story with little complications within the book.

Prints
(Sold at private viewing)

I felt that my tree design worked better as a print rather than being in a zine because of how the design looks, it looks a lot more professional as a print than in a zine. I also love how much the design stands out, I felt the public also enjoyed the look of this design, I was told that all my prints were sold at the private viewing.
